2024 GMC YUKON
2025 GMC Yukon vs 2024 Yukon
The GMC Yukon is a full-size SUV that's powered by your choice of two proven V8 engines or a torque-rich diesel that gives surprisingly strong fuel economy. The 2025 Yukon is equipped with an independent rear suspension that helps improve ride and handling compared with the solid rear axle in the previous generation. Inside, the Yukon has three rows and comfortable seating for up to eight passengers along with an enormous amount of room for cargo.
The 2025 version of the Yukon has a number of exterior styling updates, a new trim level and other changes worth knowing about. According to GMC, the new 2025 Yukon is expected to be available late in 2024 but you can contact us to reserve one right now. Here's how the 2025 GMC Yukon compares with the 2024 model and what you can expect when the new versions arrive at A. Crivelli Buick GMC in Reno, PA.

What's new for 2025 in the GMC Yukon?
For the 2025 model year, the GMC Yukon comes with an updated exterior design and a more powerful diesel engine. The Elevation trim replaces the SLE and SLT trims and the off-road AT4 is now available to Oil City buyers with a diesel engine. The new AT4 Ultimate model joins the lineup with 20-inch wheels and a four-corner adaptive air suspension system that can give you two extra inches of ground clearance.
Other upgrades in the new AT4 Ultimate are luxury amenities like full grain leather covering all three rows, massaging front seats and open-pore wood trim. The Denali model gets second-row executive seating option and the interior has been redesigned. In addition, the 2025 GMC Yukon will have a larger infotainment screen and a column-mounted shifter that replaces the previous push-button system.
Comparing engines and performance in the 2025 and 2024 GMC Yukon
Again this year, the 2025 GMC Yukon will give Franklin and Seneca PA buyers a choice of two gas-powered V8s along with a diesel engine. A 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower comes standard on the Elevation and AT4 models while a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower powers the Denali and the Denali Ultimate and is an available option on the AT4. One significant change for 2025 is that the 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine now gives you 305 horsepower compared with 277 horsepower in 2024. The diesel also comes with more torque in the 2025 version with 495 pound-feet vs. 460 pound-feet in the 2024 model.
Another improvement for 2025 is that the gear shifter is no longer buttons on the dashboard but a more user-friendly lever located on the steering column. The off-road AT4 helps you take on rugged terrain with a two-speed transfer case, underbody skid plates, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires and an available air suspension system that can give you up to two extra inches of ground clearance. The 2025 GMC Yukon with the 6.2-liter V8 can reach 60 mph in 6.0 seconds and the diesel engine gives you fuel economy of up to 27 MPG on Titusville and Hermitage highways.

Towing capacity
The 2025 GMC Yukon with the 5.3-liter V8 and rear-wheel drive can tow up to 8400 pounds. Both the Duramax® diesel and the 6.2-liter V8 are not far behind at 8200 pounds. If you go with all-wheel drive, the towing capacities drop by 200 pounds no matter which engine you choose. Both the new 2025 and 2024 Yukon models have a number of tech features that help with trailering including Transparent Trailer View that virtually eliminates the physical trailer from the camera view so you can see stationary objects behind it.
Comparing GMC Yukon technology, 2025 vs. 2024
The 2025 GMC Yukon now gives you a 16.8-inch vertically-oriented infotainment touch screen that's a dramatic improvement over the 10.2-inch diagonal screen in the 2024 model. The most upscale trims in the new 2025 GMC Yukon have speakers in the headrests that are part of a premium Bose sound system with a total of 22 speakers. If you're excited about all the changes in the new 2025 GMC Yukon, you can reserve it right now and expect it to arrive in the latter part of this year at A. Crivelli Buick GMC in Reno, PA.
