I've owned two of the Roadmaster Wagons. The '94-96 have a great Corvette LT1 Engine -- fast acceleration with a supersmooth transmission. These were equipped with the GranTouring Suspension which is soft on the highway but corners quite well. It's built on a Cadillac Fleetwood frame. Great cargo space -- takes a 4X8 sheet of plywood -- better than most pickup trucks. Excellent reliability, and very reasonable repair on repair costs. Look for one that has been babied and it should easily last 250K miles. Everyone smiles when they see this car. Pay a little extra for one with lower mileage -- it's worth it. The Kelly Blue Book value totally incorrect for the wagons, but okay for the sedans. You can't find a decent wagon in 2024 for under $10K. Expect to pay $15-18K for one with under 75,000 miles with no rust and good wood decals. It's worth it. This car is going up in value every year -- they are collectors items. Stay away from the 1991's -- they have the small 301CI engine that is underpowered.

    • GM at NEAR its best, BUT...

i have 4, a 92, 95, 95 & 96 so i think you can guess my review rating, there are several caveats, the optispark (distributor) is a watch point and the driver door trim panel is a weak point, old plastic structure does not fare well after 25/30 years of door being slammed and poor repairs when the inevitable issues raise their heads, like dry wall screws used when the panels come loose or crack.. there are many parts cars available so used glass, doors, hoods and fenders are available.. i also own 3 cadillacs (59 7 60 convertibles and 70 eldorado) but the buicks are first choice for market runs and even longer trips.. good fuel mileage too..
